Alcón Art
by P. Juan Alcón & Rainer Alcón
His art is characterised by the frequent use of material textures, intense and well-contrasted colour, the occasional use of geometric forms, and the expressive power he gives to the gesture of the brushstroke.
His subjects range from the human face —preferably the female— the nude, still lifes, naturalistic landscapes and expressionist abstraction. His work belongs to the figurative sphere, typical of an imaginative realism of dreamlike and poetic inspiration.
He creates atmospheres of peace and solitude which, in his paintings of faces and nudes, appear imbued with a sweet and delicate eroticism.
